Sail softly beneath the bridge of swords on a river of our tears.

Michael Duncan was a family court Judge out in California. His motto was, stop the bleeding. His motto was aimed at problem solving, not just handing out jail terms and sentences. Find what the true source of the problem and address that.

He turned down appointments to higher courts because fixing families was his passion and gift.

He was filled with positive energy. Always filled with positive energy, even as the cancer ravaged his body. I imagine, despite his families tears, that he gave it away to others who needed it.

A man told me a while ago that when he went to the Holy Gates and St. Peter asked, 'Whatcha got for me?', he would want to reply, 'Nothing. I gave it all away on Earth."

My cousin Michael walked through the open gates empty handed.
