I have partially lifted Gen's body off the chassy and removed the last of the floor pan. I now have a clear view of the rust battle. While not pretty, not unfixable either.
The plan is to do it right. While that sounds like the obvious choice, it was clearly a hard decision for Gen's former owners who used spackle and filler to do a poor job. You can't cover up rust!
I put two bolts back in to keep the car together until I order more parts. In the meanwhile, I going to do something a little unheard of. House work.
